About me

Welcome to my website Joanne Genealogy. I’m Joanne and I am a Qualified Genealogist, family historian and researcher. My background is in Human Resources (HR) and business support.

I specialise in East & West Midlands genealogy and ancestry, for Staffordshire, Derbyshire, and surrounding UK counties and I have been researching my family history for over 25 years.

I have completed the PG Certificate, Diploma and Master’s Degree (MSc) with the University of Strathclyde in Genealogical, Palaeographical and Heraldic Studies in 2023.

Currently, I am working on PhD research and therefore are not currently taking on paid work, but happy to take enquiries and pass them on through my extended network.
