Over the last few months, I may have been quiet on social media and not posted many blogs, but I do have a good reason. I’ve been busy writing away and happy to report that I have submitted my Masters dissertation! Phew!
My research has taken me full circle from scoping the project in Preston last year, to collating records in Solihull, back to Derby and of course, accessing the many digital records that are available.
This week I escaped my home office to visit London and its many archives and museums. I enjoyed meeting up with my university cohort and genealogy colleagues, to visit the Women’s Library (@LSE), and the Parliamentary archives at Westminster.
I even managed an extra visit to the Foundling Museum – a moving and informative museum and archive, which I can thoroughly recommend.
I am taking a short break on blogging for now. I need to re-fresh and re-charge ready for the next chapter of my research… watch this space!
